Welcome to our B & B!
Our objective is to make your
stay in the Columbia Valley an enjoyable and memorable one. We will do
everything we can to ensure that your accommodations and breakfast at
the Invermere Point of View will exceed your expectations.
Your day will start with a full breakfast prepared by Nan, who is
renowned for her gourmet meals! Nan enjoys arranging and
managing gourmet dinner groups, and enjoys creating and preparing
breakfasts to remember. Plus, she is more than happy to share and swap
recipes. And of course you never know what "goodies" will
appear in the evening to enjoy with tea or coffee.
After taking part in one of the many year-round activities in the
Valley, we provide a quiet, comfortable and elegant setting for adults
to relax. The hot tub located on the upper deck is a great place to
enjoy the view of the lake and mountains, and re-energize after a busy
day. During the evening, swapping tales around the guest lounge
fireplace is a great way to meet people and share experiences.
We are dedicated to do everything we can to ensure your stay here at
the Invermere Point of View is an enjoyable one, and we look forward to sharing
our appreciation of the Columbia
Valley. We know the Valley very well. We first invested in timeshare
property at the Panorama Ski resort more than 20 years ago, and every
year since have spent several weeks exploring and enjoying the many
seasonal attractions in the Valley.
It had been a dream of ours to live the "Bed &
Breakfast" lifestyle since we ourselves first experienced this type
of accommodation over 15 years ago. When the opportunity presented
itself in 1999 to change careers, we chose Invermere as the location for
our B&B. We opened our
doors for business in March 2000. At the time we purchased the house it
was about five years old. It was originally built by two families as a
vacation property. As the story goes, the families are related –
sisters, their husbands and a bunch of kids. We're not certain, but
apparently the families had a disagreement and decided to sell the
house. As a result, the house was only used a few weekends a year and so
stood empty for most of the year. We were able to open for business
after just a couple of months of painting and minor renovations. We
decided on the name "Invermere Point of View" because the home
is located in the Fort Point area of Invermere and it sure has a view.
Sorry, but nothing more poetic than that. And finally -- in case you're
wondering -- the names of the individual rooms are taken from the names
of some of our favourite ski runs at the nearby Panorama Resort!
So folks, we invite you to plan a vacation
here in the Columbia Valley and a relaxing stay at the Invermere
Point of View bed & breakfast!
